What the colors mean:
Top third, league-wide
Middle third, league-wide
Bottom third, league-wide
For a defense's "allowed" numbers, colors flip: green = fewest allowed (best defense).

First TD Basics
Opportunities
The OFF number is how many of THIS team's own possessions it usually takes them to score first. The DEF number is how many of the OPPONENT's possessions this defense usually holds up before allowing it — e.g. a defense at 2.88 typically doesn't give up the first score until the opponent's ~3rd drive.
Starting Field Position
Red Zone Before First TD
Red Zone Usage Before First TD
Who's actually getting the ball on this team's red zone snaps before either side's first touchdown — a field goal doesn't end this window, so a 3-0 game is still "before the first TD" and keeps counting.
